Viewing Dedicated to Dance Oct 7th
Peter Delpeut, LeineRoebana ’s regular dramaturge, has made a short dance film about the rehearsal process. In the intimacy of the dance studio the camera captures the 'reflective rehearsing' of the dancers. The film is a choreography of faces, a game of glances: introvert, intense, happy, concentrated, intimate, extravert, defiant. This dance story of the reflecting dancer may be seen, according to Delpeut, as a portrait of a wayward dance company as well as a way of paying homage to the choreographers Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana.
October 1st Voor de Dans; Dedicated to Dance Premiere at the Dutch Dance Festival in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
The 18th Dutch Dance festival will be taking place in 2015 when the city of Maastricht again immerses itself in the diversity of Dutch dance in the first weekend in October, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
The Dutch Dance Festival will be programming these remarkable and sensational dance productions and, as in previous years, there will also be premieres and productions created especially for the festival. A rich selection of the most important developments in Dutch dance.
On October 7th is another opportunity to view Voor de Dans-Dedicated to Dance during 'Up Stage Right,' a Dutch Dance Night organized by the Dutch Dance Festival at Odeon Theatre in Zwolle, The Netherlands.
