'Welkom Thuis' (2015)

Filmmaker Frans Bromet, of Jewish origin, does not necessarily feel  like Jewish. Until he set foot on Israeli soil. Totally unexpected it felt like coming home. He visits Dutch Jews who have immigrated to the Promised Land, including his aunt and two cousins. Since his early childhood the families had no contact at all. During the trip he discovers the history of his family feud. The journey leads to the understanding that solving the big conflicts in Israel will not succeed, as long as you’re not able to settle the quarrels in your own family.
