Uit het juryrapport: 'Filmmaking, Documentary-filmmaking often means to search for the risk and to bear it. The risk of discovery. The risk that every story is connected to. And documentary filmmaking always means resistance. To resist against the quick short shot or view.
In autumn 2000 two filmmakers take their smail DV-Camera and bear an enormous risk because they want to film an act of resistance. They travel to Belgrade as normal tourists and discover the revolution for which the world was waiting since a long time: the uprising against the regime of Slobodan Milosevic. They show the role of the student's movement Otpor!, which is the driving force of the revolution. A film that not only is a document but also a confession for a huge hope: Peace on the Balcans'.
The SPECIAL PRIX EUROPA, donated by the European Parliament, in the category TV Non-Fiction is awarded to: "The Making of The Revolution".
