Grandmother Lien (84) is suffering Alzheimer's disease and losing contact with reality. Christel (14) is still visiting her twice a week despite her busy life. She loves her granny very much, and it is tough for her to see her granny getting worse, especially when Grandma Lien is sad and Christel is not able to make her smile again. Christel misses the granny as she used to be, caring and active. Still hoping to get a glimpse of her old granny now and then , she’s wondering if these moments will come. Does Christel has to cherish the dear memories?
MY GRANNY LIEN is made with the support of the Dutch Cultural Media Fund. The script is developed in the Kids&Docs Workshop 2011.
MY GRANNY LIEN was broadcasted on November 27, 12:00 h, Ned 3, and was screened almost every day at IDFA 2011.
